1. Data Collection
Edgera collects the following types of information when you use our services:
- Personal Information: Name, email, phone number, and physical address for service delivery.
- Health and Session Data: Clinical notes and intake assessment answers, stored with AES-256 encryption.
- Payment Information: Processed via third-party providers (Paystack/Flutterwave); Edgera does not store full credit card details.
2. Data Usage
Your data is used solely for matching you with therapists, improving session quality, processing payments, and fulfilling legal obligations under Nigerian health regulations.
3. Data Retention
Active account data is retained during your use of the platform. Deleted accounts are purged within 90 days, except where clinical records must be retained for legal compliance as per the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) guidelines.
4. Your Rights under NDPA 2023
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data.
- Request correction or deletion of your information.
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the NDPC if you believe your rights are being violated.
5. Security Measures
We implement bank-level security including SOC 2 aligned practices, end-to-end encryption (TLS 1.3) for all communication, and regular vulnerability assessments.
