1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Edgera. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Scope of Services
Edgera is a technology platform that connects users with independent, licensed therapists and counselors. Edgera itself does not provide medical or therapeutic advice. The therapeutic relationship is strictly between you and the assigned professional.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account independently. Users between 13 and 17 years old must have verified consent from a parent or legal guardian to access the platform. Edgera reserves the right to request proof of age and consent at any time.
4. Data Privacy & Compliance
We are committed to protecting your privacy in full compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and NDPC regulations. Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers.
5. Crisis Disclaimer (CRITICAL)
Edgera is NOT a substitute for emergency medical services. If you are in immediate danger of harming yourself or others, or if you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency:

6. Payments and Refunds
All fees are listed in Nigerian Naira (₦). Payments are processed securely via Paystack and Flutterwave. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a session are eligible for a full refund. Late cancellations are subject to a 50% fee. No-shows are non-refundable.
7. User Conduct
Users are expected to treat therapists with respect. Harassment, abusive language, or any misuse of the platform is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination without refund.
8. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall first be attempted to be resolved via mediation in Abuja. Should mediation fail, jurisdiction shall lie with the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
